Are set package prices available?
FlorBay Catering emphasizes customization to ensure that each proposal aligns with your specific requirements and taste preferences. As such, we do not offer set package prices. Menu costs will vary based on the selection and variety of dishes chosen.
Does FlorBay Catering handle rentals?
Yes, FlorBay Catering facilitates the coordination of rentals through our network of local rental companies, ensuring you have all the necessary items for your event. We manage both the delivery and collection of these items. Available rentals include, but are not limited to, tents, silverware, glassware, plates, tables, chairs, linens, and porta-potties.
Rentals are typically delivered one or two days prior to the event and collected the following day or on Monday, weather permitting.
Clients also have the option to manage their own rental arrangements. In such cases, responsibilities include creating a rental list, selecting products, handling contracts and payments, as well as overseeing the logistics of load-in/load-out and setup. FlorBay Catering is not responsible for the cleaning of rentals provided by the client, nor for any lost or damaged items, which must be addressed directly with the rental companies.
Can you accommodate vegetarian and special dietary restrictions?
FlorBay Catering proudly offers an array of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan menu options. We are committed to customizing or adjusting our dishes to cater to the dietary needs and preferences of you and your guests. We request that any food allergies be communicated during the menu planning process. Please note, as our catering services are provided offsite, we are unable to supply additional food beyond what has been pre-selected for your menu.
Do you have a minimum order requirement?
FlorBay Catering implements specific minimum order requirements, excluding taxes and fees, to maintain our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences efficiently. For weekend events (Friday to Sunday), we require a minimum order value of $10,000. For weekday events (Monday to Thursday), the minimum order value is set at $2,500. These requirements are in place to ensure the high-quality service our clients expect, regardless of the event's timing.
Please note, during holiday weekends, special occasions, and recognized holidays, our minimum order requirements may vary to accommodate the unique demands of these periods, including any additional holiday fees.
Do you offer menu tastings?
FlorBay Catering provides a complimentary tasting for couples with an existing contract and deposit. For those without a signed contract, a tasting can be arranged for a fee of $200 for up to four guests. Should you decide to book your event with us afterward, this amount will be credited towards your final invoice. Tastings are conducted in a private setting, showcasing selections from your proposed menu. Contact us to start planning your memorable event.
Do you offer rental arrangements?
FlorBay Catering can assist in arranging for the rental of essentials such as tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and silverware. A standard place setting includes salad and dinner plates, silverware, a water goblet, and napkins. For larger needs like tents, lighting, and dance floors, we coordinate with local partners. It's advisable to check with your venue for any provisions they might already offer.
Is your facility nut-free?
Our kitchen and catering facilities handle various allergens, including peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, and wheat. Despite our diligent efforts to minimize cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our products are safe for individuals with severe allergies to these ingredients.
What is your service radius?
FlorBay Catering's primary service area encompasses a 1.5-hour radius from our base in St. Petersburg, Florida. Should your event location fall outside of this radius, we encourage you to reach out for additional information.
Do you offer alternative options to china dishes?
Indeed, FlorBay Catering provides sustainable alternatives like palm leaf and other compostable products. These options are not only eco-friendly but also cost-effective compared to traditional rentals. Do you have a BBQ grill menu for summer events?
Absolutely! FlorBay Catering is equipped with our own smoker and earth ovens, offering a comprehensive BBQ and grilling menu that's perfect for enjoying the warm summer days.
How do you handle staffing?
At FlorBay Catering, we pride ourselves on the in-house training of our staff, ensuring that your event benefits from knowledgeable and professionally educated personnel. We are committed to offering good-paying jobs and valuing our team members, who play a crucial role in delivering a memorable experience at your event. Depending on the service style, the number of staff required can vary, with buffets typically needing 6-8 servers and family-style or plated services requiring 10-15 staff members. We will collaborate with you to identify the most efficient staffing solution for your event's specific needs.
